Cast: the Master’s hands, the plate, the paper, the roll, the ink.

The film goes on in a deep silence interrupted only by the noise of the burin, the turning roll, the wet, dripping paper.
In this silence the metamorphosis of the engraving,impressed from the metal plate to the paper, comes true like a chrysalis.
It is a difficult task: the movie shows all steps in an extreme narrative clearness and remarcable didactic knowledge.

It is with bated breath that the creative proceeding of engraving and printing can be observed, in order to watch how it will end up and what surprise the results will give us. All these proceedings in print making can be described, but no textbook can report them so vividly like this movie.
